Have you ever felt the invisible threads connecting you to others, to a deeper purpose?
The a cosmic spider weaving the fabric of synchronicity, guiding souls to meet and intertwine their destinies. And on Sunday, February 9th, 2025, I witnessed a beautiful thread in this grand tapestry come to life.
I was invited to support a unique ceremony led by a remarkable Medicine Woman Blanca aka Cacaomuse from Mexico. She's a bridge between the ancestral realms and our modern world, sharing ancient wisdom to help us understand how the Toltec/Meshika ancestors worked with the powerful medicine of cacao.
The story goes that Quetzalcoatl, arriving from the planet Venus, gifted the people of Mexico two sacred seeds. These weren't just ordinary seeds; they contained ancient knowledge, unlocking rituals, ceremonies, and the very codes for a civilization to flourish.
The Toltec/Meshika cosmovision sees the universe in terms of duality, the initial Creator Energies descending from a single source. They understood that every living organism – physical and mental – carries this knowledge of duality within. This is why Quetzalcoatl bestowed these two special seeds, transforming and enhancing their way of cultivating and harvesting the gifts of the Creator.

Within this ceremonial context, cacao embodies the feminine energy. The cacao tree, short and thriving in the shade, depends on taller trees for protection. Corn on the other hand represents the masculine, growing tall and reaching for the sun's energy in the open field. In this particular ceremony, the focus was on the medicine of cacao, a medicine that connects the body, mind, and spirit. It opens the heart, allowing the mind to connect, and once that connection is made, the doors to self-realization swing wide.
The ceremony unfolded with deep prayer and reverence. Each person shared their intentions as the cacao was carefully ground. Then, men were called upon to grind the corn with equal respect and focus. Once both were prepared, they were combined with the elements of water and fire, representing the four directions, the sacred generators of life. All the elements were present, woven into the ritual. this is how the cosmic spider Weaving a journey into cacao and corn.
Holding space with ancestral sounds, I felt a deeper understanding, a profound connection to the cacao and the role of corn in this cosmovision. The ritual unveiled the intricate dance between these two powerful medicines.
I'm honored to have been a part of this experience. It wasn't my first time working with corn in a sacred way, and I've included a couple of videos below. the First video one captures me grounding the corn—a powerful experience in itself. The second video demonstrates a unique method for removing the corn kernels. I simply wanted to share this inspiring experience with you.
